The Path of Growth is Hard, And it Doesn’t Have To Be

The Path of Growth is Hard, And it Doesn’t Have To Be

This week’s blog is a little bit more personal and reflective, as I foresee some future blogs being. While the part of me that understands social media and content based business (to a somewhat good degree) and how I should write to solve your (the reader’s) problem(s), I also understand that everyone just wants to be seen. In an effort to remain authentic, I feel it is incredibly important to embrace the mess that Life can be for everyone, including myself. For today’s blog mindfulness prompt, I think we should just open our eyes together Whether that means we are seeing each other, or ourselves, or we are embracing our own messes of Life, or we choose to see that divine part of ourselves on a deeper level today: Let’s just be in understanding together.

On this journey of consistent and mindful growth I find that I am almost always in this ebb and flow, or push and pull you could say, between two aspects of myself. There is this deep, divine part of me that knows that everything is beautiful and blessing always, and then there is this humanness and (probably conditioned) ego that is both concerned for the future as well as looking at my reality, which is not where I want it to be. Within that humanness and ego I am working my damn best to ground into that divinity and knowing, and I am certainly growing into that place of divine grace and high vibration.

The path of growth is hard, but it doesnt have to be, from the Spirit & Soul blog

Here is the lesson I am learning as I move through this process… The path of growth is fucking hard, and it doesn’t have to be.

What can be hard is surrendering, but what if we just tried softening? Because that is what truly comes from the process. What can be hard is manifesting, or figuring out how to, but what if we just allowed what we wanted to appear for us? Because as I am learning, that is true manifestation. What can be hard is striving, isn’t that what you’re supposed to do on a path of personal growth and self improvement? Ahh, but what if we allowed ourselves to thrive? Right where we are. Because that is what we are meant to do. And in each passing moment we can expand our definition or experience of thriving as we grow.

There is so much resistance within surrender, manifesting (making it happen, as I often see it or brains often interpret it incorrectly), and striving. This is not the truth of any human on the planet. Resistance will not carry us gracefully into anything we desire that is divine (i.e. healing, growth, etc.). I am learning that this practice of grounding into the deeper and more divine aspect of ourselves is what will carry us deeper into our truth and power (hello, Higher Self!) and wider into bringing goodness to the world.

Where as there is virtually no resistance within softening, allowing, and thriving. It is this open, infinite opportunity of energy that we need to grow with the least resistance, mess, and pain as possible. Because let’s face it, growth can be painful often times too.

So wherever you are at in your journey today, I ask you to see how you can soften, allow, and thrive within your life more, so that your path of growth can grow a little more vibrantly with a little more ease and grace.

You Get The Results You Show Up For

You Get The Results You Show Up For

I wrote a blog about a year ago titled, Your Manifestations Will Not Work Unless You Do, and today’s blog is an evolved and simplified version of that thought process. You may have heard me say before, I find the simplest wisdom to be the most universal, and this is one of those moments. The simplicity and practicality of this truth brings out some deep and very universal wisdom.

I’ve recently had some experiences that have sewn this mantra of sorts into the very fabric of my life. Through working with mentoring clients, and seeing the different divine results each woman co-creates for herself, exploring manifestation and the teachings of Abraham in my own life, and playing and learning in that co-creative space, and simply watching how a day unfolds differently for different people and their different experiences. It has been proven to me time and time again, in the smallest and largest ways, that what you show up for is what you will receive.

This means for example, if you are having a negative experience within your day and you’d like it change, you have to change yourself. Be it through your energy, perspective, or actions – this is the way we show up for the world, and to the world. This is a foundation for all of our experiences within life. I have navigated my own law of attraction practice to discover that my shortcomings in making manifestation work for me was that I was unconsciously doubtful of what I wanted to bring into my life. That is what I showed up with, and so all I got in return was misalignment.

I have seen this with mentoring clients as well. The women who really truly deeply show up and do their work to co-create the shift they seek always find the results they desired, whereas the women who only kind of do their work (to no fault of their own, it just conveys what they are truly ready for) will only kind of touch on the results they desired. This happens within the spiritual industry on a daily basis within people’s everyday lives. They read the books, they know the principles, they find the ideas of enlightenment and the law of attraction enchanting, and yet the way they show up does not match the results they want to see.

To go even further and take the spiritual or esoteric out of the equation, the quote, “Fail fast.” is a powerful one for a reason. They say, “Fail fast.” as a way to explain that if what you are not doing is not working, you should fail with that method quickly so you can move on to find the method that will bring you to success even quicker. You get the results you show up for applies to this as well. If you are to keep showing up with a method that is not working for you, you would continue to get results that aren’t aligned with what you would want or maybe even expect. It is here you are called to show up differently, in a way that will better realize your desired results.

The way we show up is so vast, the opportunities we have to shift our energy and focus are not far and few between. We can show up with more intentional action that will bring forth positive change, we can make space for a perspective that serves a better outcome, we can shift our attitude from angst to openness, the opportunities go on and on. I invite you to take a look at what you feel is lackluster in your life right now, and see where you can shift yourself so that your results can shift with you.

5 Easy + Simple Ways to Practice Mindfulness Daily

5 Easy + Simple Ways to Practice Mindfulness Daily

Mindfulness, the beautiful practice of awareness and being present. It is such a gorgeous and simple life tool to use, but still people find themselves intimidated by even just beginning the adventure of exploring a practice for their everyday lives. I’d like to dissolve your fear, resistance, and uncertainty with this article, if I may.

The mindful lifestyle is one that is often unnoticeable to the untrained eye. Mindfulness is a series of very subtle, very non-physical shifts in mindset and awareness. These tools can help you grow, experience more peace, and allow you to show up to Life in a more graceful way. And I promise you, it is not very hard to get started! To prove it to you, here are 7 easy and simple ways you can practice mindfulness in your everyday life.

5 simple + Easy Mindfulness tools to practice daily from The Spirit & Soul blog

Gratitude

Taking the time within your day at different times to hold some space for deep gratitude is both incredibly nourishing and inspiring. This practice does not need to be profound or incredibly detailed at all. Take note of the sunset and how gorgeous it is, and take a moment to be grateful, to really drink in the moment. Take note of how a friend reached out to you, and really, truly, deeply be appreciative and express your gratitude to said friend.

Meditation

Meditation is another great way to practice mindfulness in a really gentle but intentional way. Like many other tools in this article you’ll find, this practice does not have to be serious or profound. Allow it to be simple, and in that it will be exactly what you need.

Any meditation technique that will bring you into your body, grounded and calm, will set you on the right track for taking on your day in a headspace of awareness and flow.

Breath

Intentionally breathe. It’s one of the most powerful mindfulness techniques there are. Breathe deeply. Release if you need to. Invite joy if you need to. Full bodied breaths are the most powerful cleansing and recentering tools you have, and it doesn’t take much effort either!

Intention

Speaking of intentionality… Bringing intention into your life is a simple and powerful tool to get you into the right vibration for any situation. Where your attention goes, energy flows. This is the perfect way to get your attention and energy in alignment with the outcome you desire. It may not be exact or perfect in comparison to what you want, but set a positive intention for any situation that might otherwise be negative and see how you bring the light to the surface.

Compassion

They say that you don’t always really know anyone else’s story, and it’s quite true. This applies to EVERYONE. The guy on the bus, the homeless person on the street corner, the person in line in front of you at a restaurant, the woman having a hard time in your office. This is mindfulness, holding that understanding and loving, caring, and helping the best you can either way.

This blog has been in collaboration with the ever so lovely Danielle from Realm of Vibes (check out her blog about mindfulness here), and we have opened up some space for a 5 day mindfulness challenge (it’s going to be incredible! Sign up here or by clicking through the image below). I’d love to hear about your practice of mindfulness or your experiences of mindfulness being make it or break it in the comments below.

In Response to : ‘What if All I Want is A Mediocre Life’

In Response to : ‘What if All I Want is A Mediocre Life’

***Trigger warning***: this blog is going to be very passionate and big hearted. I hope dearly that you are not offended by such energy and perspective. And if you are, what the heck are you doing here!? (This space is all love and positive energy, and if you find anything I say in this blog offensive or distasteful please know that was not my intention, as I write from a space of unconditional love along with an intention of expansion of consciousness.)

This blog is a response to the blog recently published, that went somewhat viral, from A Life in Progress titled ‘What if All I Want is A Mediocre Life’. I have personal and biased opinions and perspectives on life that is heavily contradictory to this post, but I also found some things mentioned in this post as evidence of a small and simple life of mediocrity that I find powerful and beautifully impactful. My intention here is to showcase those ‘little things’ and offer a perspective shift that brings those ‘little things’ into a shining, powerful and impactful light.

The author of this piece, Krista O’Reilly-Davi-Digui, seems to be a beautiful soul doing the best she can to bring light and serve others. She is a self-proclaimed ‘imperfect light bearer’, as her website bio reads. I could see us being very kindred, however this is my first issue with this article, as anyone working to bring forth light in this world is in no way living small. That action does not occur without a subtle but eventual world influencing ripple effect. To wish for and hold space for the goodness of others is not a small action or philosophy, and it is far from mediocre at the least.

In Response to: 'What if All I Want is A Mediocre Life?' from the Spirit & Soul blog

The article begins with this opening, “What if all I want is a small, slow, and simple life? What if I am most happy in the space of in between. Where calm lives. What if I am mediocre and choose to be at peace with that?” To this I would like to say, there is deeply rooted wisdom and power within peace, especially choosing to experience peace. There is nothing small-minded or mediocre about this. If we are speaking of the same kind of peace, what we are speaking of is transcendent and contagiously shifts consciousness when shared. Even further, what I have come to know of the woman writing this piece is that she is not mediocre, and I beg her not to accept something so disempowering and untrue of herself.

The whole piece is written not about mediocrity, but about breaking societal roles and expectations. It is more about embracing of authenticity and the letting go of trying to be someone or something that we are not. Nothing, absolutely nothing, about that message is mediocre. The author shares experiences like, “What if I never build an orphanage in Africa but send bags of groceries to people here and there and support a couple of kids through sponsorship. What if I just offer the small gifts I have to the world and let that be enough.” and “What if I don’t want to write a cookbook or build a six figure business or speak before thousands. But I write because I have something to say and I invest in a small community of women I care about and encourage them to love and care for themselves well.” as validating examples of mediocrity, when the truth of these actions is actually the opposite.

There is absolutely nothing about offering the gifts you have to the world that is mediocre. There is absolutely nothing about writing because you have something to say and something to share that is mediocre. To be mediocre, by definition means to be “of only moderate quality; not very good.” I am not a religious person by any means, but I wholeheartedly believe we humans were made in the likeness and image of God, and I have a really hard time finding anything mediocre about that, which tells me that even in our essence we cannot be mediocre.

You can both impact the world positively and make your life count in a seemingly small and slow way, please tell me you see the immense beauty and influence that has, because there is nothing about it that rings mediocre from my perspective. I’ll tell you this though, you cannot be a positive influence in any one person’s life and be living small. Here’s why, wanting and offering more for someone else is not a small minded desire or action, and that kind of unconditional compassion and fierce light working creates a ripple effect beyond your belief.

From being aware of that ripple effect, I know that I want to make waves and I know that you cannot do that by living small, but that doesn’t mean you cannot still be human and still have space to grow at your own pace. I respect each of you and each of your personal journeys very deeply. I need you to know how much power and true light you are giving away in accepting your gifts, whatever they may be, as something mediocre.

If it feels like you are living in a small way, I ask you warmly to acknowledge that you are not someone or something small. Embrace your power and influence, even if it doesn’t feel like it is that worldly relatable or impactful, because the reality is that every action you take from a heart centered space is one that will ripple out love and light into the world more than you can know. Each one of us was born with a beautiful power to consciously begin that ripple effect and impact the world in our own ways, and to live as if we cannot change things or be the light we wish to see is in denial of our true nature.

Gaia Collective’s MoonBox is a Match Made in Full Moon Ritual Heaven // Review

Gaia Collective’s MoonBox is a Match Made in Full Moon Ritual Heaven // Review

As some of you may know, this past week there was a gorgeous Full Moon in Sagittarius. The energy was vibrant, super-inspiring, and like many full moons are it was a little bit intense. Now, I have written about how to work with the Lunar cycle a few times before on the blog, but I have never shared any products or anything that relates to your moon rituals or practices.

I find that a lunar practice or ritual is a very personal and often quite intuitive thing, and I have always maintained an unbiased place of encouragement and guidance with your full moon practice. Which should tell you, that the fact I am even talking about this service is a big deal for me and the blog.

A Review of Gaia Collective's MoonBox from the Spirit & Soul Blog
Like this blog? Pin it!

The Gaia Collective MoonBox made this past full moon the best full moon practice I have ever had. And I am not laying it on thick or trying to be one of those bloggers that just loves products, because I am not that girl. The MoonBox was simply and simultaneously profoundly the cherry on top of my ritual this past month.

Not only was the box incredibly gorgeous, well put together and very intentionally thought out, it was also quite exciting and inspiring. The items I received were incredibly inspiring to my practice as well as nourishing for my mind, body, and spirit. Just opening the box and exploring what came with it this month was a treat, let alone bringing each divine little goody into my ritual of self-care and personal growth.

I can remember quite well saying, “Oh my goodness. I feel so special.” at least 5 times while opening the box, and that is something that isn’t extremely profound, but to have the small touches of extra abundance and to create such a luxurious richness within my experience really made my practice much more beautiful. It was such a blessing, because the shifts I had that night were a little bit intense and emotional, so to also have the balance and softness of the lovely products from the MoonBox was truly sweet.

I had a really lovely time of practicing my own self-care and personal growth while I shared a good portion of my ritual essentials on my instagram story and I’d love for you to see and get as in depth of a review of the MoonBox as possible. Below you’ll find some photos of the products I received this past month, along with what I thought of them!

I was lucky to receive this month a beautiful turquoise choker necklace from Nabee Jewelry Design, a delicious strawberry tea blend that was perfect for the strawberry moon, a few gorgeous crystals, along with an essential oil blend for wearing and another for room energy clearing, and a bedtime dream tonic. Now, I am head over heels in love with nearly everything in this box. I say nearly everything because if I am being honest, there was one thing in the box that I didn’t use, and that was the bedtime lucid dreaming tonic, because honestly it kind of scared me a little.

I am so excited, happy, and grateful to say that Gaia Collective and I will be collaborating on a box together very soon! If you’d like to get your own Moon Box for the next full moon you can do that here. If you’re interested in what Gaia and I are collaborating on sign up for my newsletter here to get VIP access.

Happy Full Mooning!
