Ask The Universe For What You Want

Ask The Universe For What You Want

The only reason that dreams in our society hardly become reality, is because we accept that the dreams we desire will ‘most likely’ never be our reality anyway, and that’s before we even try to work towards them! I’d like to invite you to instead be open to the possibilities of the Universe, which includes your dream (whatever that may be) becoming your reality.

For the most part, we have been conditioned, and conditioning each other, not to believe in ourselves. While this is shifting in some ways, it still remains the reality for the vast majority. Why is this? We know of the vast opportunity that the Universe has for us. We have seen people achieve the impossible, build incredible society serving things from nothing, and change the world with their bare hands. So why don’t we believe we can do the same ourselves, let alone try to achieve our own versions of that?

I think this is because we also have grown into a place where we aren’t as keen on asking for what we want. While this is also shifting in some very positive ways, I still see it happen with so many people around me. In mentoring sessions I see people looking for clarity tell me exactly what they want, and the only thing keeping them from the clarity they seek is them. They have to allow themselves to lean into and trust in their desires, and their worthiness. Now, this isn’t easy, but it is one of the most important pieces to achieve that which you desire. It is not selfish to want a beautiful, vibrant, and safe life for yourself. It isn’t selfish to not want to experience distress or exhaustion on a daily basis.

These are our basic human needs. We have to be in a good emotional and physical place so that we can serve those around us in a more impactful way. We also have to be in this space, to the best of our abilities, so that we can align ourselves with what we desire. Part of what can bring us into that energetic alignment, is asking the Universe for what we want.

The more open you are to the Universe supporting you, the more you will see synchronicities, signs that you are on the right path, and the things you desire manifesting for you in even more perfect + divine ways then you could have imagined. So today take a moment to reflect on this: Do you have clarity on what you want? Are you open to the Universe supporting you in actualizing those desires? Are you open to the Universe offering you something better?

And lastly, do you trust that you are supported in what desiring what you desire?

I’d love to hear what this blog inspired to shift in your life + perspective today. Share with us in the comments below how you were inspire + empowered by the shifts you may have had!

How To Tell Your Intuition + Ego Apart

How To Tell Your Intuition + Ego Apart

This may be one of the top 5 things that people struggle with in their spirituality + connection to their Higher Self and Source. How do you tell your intuition and your ego apart?! How can you know what you are choosing is what is right for you? And how can you know for sure which voice in your head is that of wisdom, and which one is of ego. I can tell you that there are some very simple ways to detect which voice + thought pattern is which, but sometimes it is very hard to tell the two apart.

So how can you easier tell your inner voices apart? It’s easier than you may think! And still, sometimes it will be difficult to find your true soul answers, but I have a few tricks for those times too.

How To Tell Your Intuition + Ego Apart from The Spirit & Soul Blog

Which voice is kind?

Each of us has a quiet, calm, and kind whisper within us, and a loud, defensive, not so kind voice to balance that. Your intuition will be the voice speaking to you softly, with clear knowing and trust. This whisper may not know how things will happen, but it knows they will. Whereas the ego voice will question everything the quiet heartfelt whisper is telling you, and will find ways to make you doubt what that simple, trusting whisper will have to say.

Which voice knows that you are divine?

Often times, we will find that the whispering voice believes that you can do anything (because you can, duh.), and the louder defensive ego voice will promote, and sometimes scream at you, limiting belief patterns. The voice that is completely faithful in your capability, magic, and willingness to trust in what it has to say is your intuition. The voice that forces possible problems down your throat, and questions your capability and magic, and tries to guilt you into playing small, that is your ego.

Which voice is understanding?

The two voices within us usually have these two undertones or personality types, 1) judgemental AF or 2) universally understanding. When you learn to seperate your intuition from your ego and acknowledge what each voice sounds like, and how each one acts, you will find this to be true for yourself. Look for guidance from the voice that encompasses universal understanding. This relates to the self, too. Which voice understands what you want, or are trying to achieve, and which voice is judgemental and questions your own desires? That which is understanding is your higher self, and that is where your intuition lies.

Where does this voice speak from?

Our ego speaks from our headspace, it is logical, and it follows and feeds into its own thought patterns of negativity, doubt, self-sabotage, and fear. Our intuition speaks from our heart space, and only offers its wisdom for you if you’d like to trust in its guidance. Where are the thoughts you are hearing speaking from? There you can see which voice is intuition and which is ego. Feel into the thought, and feel where it speaks from. Your heartspace is where your higher self exists, your headspace is where our biology allows us to analyze. Follow your heartspace. Analyzing has a place and time, but when you are seeking your own intuitive guidance it has no place.

Which voice knows, and which voice questions?

The voice that knows is the voice that speaks your truth. When you hear your intuition, what is says is, “This is your path. No questions, this is where you need to go/what you need to do.” The voice that questions, what a cute little ego, is the voice that says, “But what about this, and this, and this and this and this?!! What about those, huh? This isn’t going to work.” *insert sarcasm here* That voice doesn’t sound threatened by the clarity and cool-as-a-cucumber vibe that the other voice offered you, right? The voice that is cool as a cucumber is the one that speaks your truth and is offering you your divine guidance + work.

The more you listen to that quiet whisper, the louder it will become and the easier it will be to see, feel, and hear. I’d love to know which tool was your favorite to recognize the difference between your ego + intuition, so please feel free to share with us in the comments below!

Practicing Compassion When It Feels Impossible

Practicing Compassion When It Feels Impossible

There is an energy around right now, that has been around for a while, that is very tense, scarcity driven, and reactionary. I’d like to do what I can to soften that today with some inspiration to practice compassion with more intention and purpose, so that you can feel empowered rather than defeated as you deal with our current state of the world.

In a recent blog I wrote about how the world is going to change, and I would like to add on to that thought process a bit today. The world cannot change if we continue to react + feed the cycle of negativity, fear, and hatred. It is up to us to keep the light and high vibrations up, with integrity. This means staying in our own light and power even in the darkest and scariest of situations or energy. This means living from our truth – love – even when it feels fucking impossible.

What happened in Charlottesville, Virginia recently is a call for compassion + light. It is a reminder that darkness and bad things exist in this world, and it is our job to outshine that with our own light + love. I’m not talking about cute woo girl instagram light + love either, I am talking about real, physical, intentional, purposeful, selfless light and love. Our truth is love. We need to uphold that, and bring it’s truth to our reality. We need to show up not only with prayers, but with our actions, and equally but very importantly with our energy. If we sink into disbelief, lack of trust in the process, or darkness ourselves, we will get no where.

If you want to serve this world, and leave it better than you came into it, we must show the fuck up. I know, it’s scary to do that, especially with the surrounding energies that we are continuing to manifest. We’ve got to move through that resistance though. After all, resistance is only an opportunity, a doorway if you will, for growth and expansion.

If you’re ready to do your part, I challenge you to start with practicing unconditional compassion. Find a way to feel or express compassion to the thing that is triggering you today – and yes, if the thing that is triggering you is what happened in Charlottesville, then ask how you can find compassion for the attendees of that rally. One of the most simple things that can change the world as we know it, if we allow it to, is kindness and compassion. If 1/8th of us made an effort to be more kind and compassionate, unconditionally, the ripple effect would expand enough for the most of us to be shifting the energy and consciousness of the world. All we have to do is show up, one by one, because we know we need to.

You know you need to. I know I need to. So let’s show up together today with unconditional compassion. When we choose not to show up and do our part, that is when the world finds itself in a space like it is in now. We are being called, very clearly, to make a change. I know that I will answer that call as often as I can. Will you answer your call?

I hope todays blog has brought you some food for thought, and has been able to inspire + empower you to unconditionally work your light and show up for the change you wish to see in the world. If you’re open to being vulnerable, because there is power in vulnerability, I would love to know how you can find compassion for the thing that is triggering you today. If you want to be a part of the ripple, please share your experience in the comments!

You Are Divinely Supported + Guided

You Are Divinely Supported + Guided

Today as I was asking what wanted to be written I was pulled to one of my favorite books (one of the books that brought me here), Light Is The New Black by Rebecca Campbell. I closed my eyes and flipped open to a ‘random’ page. The first page I looked to was ‘A Prayer for Expansion’. And on the next page I see what I underlined at least 3 years ago, “Life bends for the courageous. The Universe wants to support you. Take a deep breath and leap.”

A Divine Message For You from the Spirit & Soul blog

“Beloved Council of Light,
Guide my hands, my heart, my mouth and my feet.
When I start clinging remind me to surrender.
When I ignore you, speak up louder than before.
When I make it about me, help me get out of my own way.
When I am fearful, let me see my fears as opportunities to expand.
Thank you for working through me through my day.
And so it is. ” – A Prayer for Expansion, an excerpt from Light Is The New Black by Rebecca Campbell

You are divinely supported + guided.

These two sentiments of guidance both validate something that I am working on in my personal life right now, but this is what I am being called to share with you: You are divinely supported + guided. As much as this is something I am coming to deeply know for my own life, I am able to see the reality that it is for everyone living and breathing on this planet. The Universe wants to support you, just as much as you want to be supported. The Universe wants to guide you, just as much as you are craving guidance right now.

Will you be open to the support + guidance? This is where the rubber hits the road. Desiring support + guidance is nice, but what about truly opening yourself up and align your vibration with the support and guidance that is infinitely available to you? When you can do that, your life expands around and within you, to align itself with what you desire to co-create.

To share some of my personal experience with leaning into this truth, I’ll share my most recent practice of this truth. I said at a BBT Live event about a month ago that in July I would work with a specific number of donation based mentoring clients. About 9 days before my deadline to make this personal goal (and do what I said I was going to do), reaching this goal logically looked like a lost cause. I was going to do what I said I was going to do, though. And so with 7 days left until my ‘deadline’ I leaned hard and fast into this universal truth as if my life depended on it, and as I leaned into my trust and showing up to do my part, clients began booking sessions. 4 hours before that deadline I finished up the session that would make my goal. Because I decided to not only know soul deep that I was divinely supported, but to allow the Universe to support me.

Today there isn’t an article for you to read on how to uplevel your life, or how to understand or implement a tool in any kind of way. Today isn’t about content or how I can put out a blog that will be serve what the market wants. My market is people on their journey’s, and today there is a message that begs of you (hello, person on your journey) to claim it, know it, and acknowledge it’s truth. You are supported by the divine, always. You are guided by the divine, always. It is safe for you to feel safe in this energy and wisdom.

When you can live your life from this certainty, absolute magic will occur around you. I can say that, because I myself am continuing to experience it myself as I trust in this truth more and more. Take from this blog what you will. You get the results you show up for.

I would love to hear how this message has shifted your energy, experience, or perspective today so please share what you wish in the comment section below!

Why The Practice of Letting Go is So Powerful

Why The Practice of Letting Go is So Powerful

Last night was an epic Full Moon in Aquarius, that was paired with a solar eclipse, and today is the opening of the lions gate. Can you say, “Hello, magic!”? You may have seen one of many articles about how this lunar energy was intense, and intensely calling you to let go of that which does not serve your highest good. I know that letting go can be incredibly difficult for some people, so today I’d like to share some insight and perspective that may be able to inspire + empower you to let go with a little more ease.

It is likely that you’ll hear any number of spiritual and success teachers/leaders talk about how important it is to let things go, and as cliche as it may feel I have to say they are all beyond right. We cannot continue to grow unless we let go. I invite you to observe how that statement makes you feel. Does it scare you? Does it make you feel resistant or small? Take note of that and explore it this week if you’re open to it. Now, let’s get into the reasons that the practice of letting go is one of the most powerful things you can gift yourself.

Why The Practice of Letting Go is So Powerful from the Spirit & Soul blog

Letting go will soften your pain.

It may sound counter-intuitive, because “you have to fight for your peace” in this life experience, but I can assure you this is the most intuitive thing you can do when you feel yourself attaching to or obsessing over something negative in your life. I’d like you to think of a situation where you were scared and clinging to something physical as a way to try and help yourself feel safer or more in control. Maybe you’re driving or cycling and you’re white-knuckling the steering wheel or handlebars? Feel the pain you would feel in your hands in that moment.

Now feel the softening you experience when you’re out of that scary situation and you allow your hands to let go a little bit and relax. That is what mentally letting go can do for your mental, physical, and spiritual health. Allow yourself to let go, and your pain will soften. How badly do you want the pain to begin to heal or calm down? That is how badly you want yourself to let go. Give yourself that space.

Letting go creates space for the good sh*t.

When you can let go of that which is holding you back, blocking your magic, or bringing you negativity, you simultaneously create space for the good sh*t. The light, joy, and other magic that your soul craves can be welcomed in, but only when you have let what is taking up space now go. This practice of release is also a practice of creation, because as you let go, you have new space to receive. As you let go, you have new space to create, play, and enjoy your experiences.

Your thoughts can move onto better things, your joy can come back to life, and your mind can focus on the more important things. I invite you to observe what you are holding onto that is taking up your space for the goodness that is available to you, and if you are willing, let it go today with ease and grace.

[Tweet “Letting go creates space for the good sh*t.”}

Letting go allows you to ground back into your ever-present peace.

When I was at a Vipassana course I learned through my meditation experiences that everyone has a deeply rooted, ever-present, unshakeable peace, and I learned that the thing that holds us back from experiencing this is our reactions, judgement, assumptions, etc. When you can let go of these truly very little things in life, and just allow what you cannot control to be what it will be, you find yourself back in that ever-present peace that is always accessible to you. I understand this may be a more broad concept for many to understand, but once you have experienced it, it can change how you live. And if you can have the awareness that it even is a possibility for you, you’ll find yourself experiencing this concept as reality without even intending it.

There you go, beautiful souls! I would love to hear any Aha moments you may have had from these ideas, and how they have since shifted the way you show up to life, so please share with us in the comments below and we’ll get the conversation going even deeper.
