Now let me get out of the way so Lexi can share her story with you!

My journey in spirituality and personal development started accidentally after dealing with an array of sports injuries (of all things) in High School.

I was told I ‘needed’ back surgery and that there were no other options for me. Luckily, I was stubborn, a healer but a learner. I dived into the world of alternative healing and found yoga. Through developing a regular yoga practice and learning how emotional health and nutrition influences our physical capacity to heal, I was able to avoid back surgery entirely.

It was a very natural next step for me to become a certified holistic health coach and yoga teacher. I taught yoga throughout college and took on private holistic health coaching clients part-time.

My self-belief when it came to entrepreneurship, however was at an all time low. I was pursing my undergraduate degree in marketing and I tried desperately to fit the mold of society’s expectation of me and dove head first into corporate.

It wasn’t long after that my Inc. 5000 job spiritually broke me. I worked directly with the Vice President in a top marketing position but I was still left unfulfilled. I knew something had to change and I was determined to make it happen.” ~Lexi Schaffer
What I personally love so much about Lexi is that even though she is a badass business woman, she hasn’t been dehumanized by business, and she holds her intuitive guidance over anything else.
Where were you at before you transformed your life? What was your experience, emotional state, and perspective like?

Prior to entrepreneurship, my life looked the part but internally, I was crushed by the weight of knowing I couldn’t even afford to move out of my parents’ basement. So I took a leap of faith. Within 3 months of leaving my 9-5 I replaced my corporate income.

During that period of your life, what did you wish for or dream of the most for yourself?

More than anything, I wanted to feel liberated. Liberated from a soul-sucking corporate job that left me passionless and liberated financially, too. I knew I could have both. Passion and money. This might trigger some people… So let me dive deeper. I’ve always known money is a mutual resource. It’s not good or evil. Money gives you the opportunity to take charge, invest in things that matter to you and create a larger impact in the world. This was my dream.

When your life began to change, what caused the shift(s) for you?

I took a total leap of faith when I left my corporate job and a lot of things shifted. All of a sudden I was in charge of my schedule, my clients, my marketing strategy. It was all up to me. This was a huge responsibility. I made sure to prioritize self-care and my spiritual practice before diving into my daily work-grind. I believe by prioritizing self-care my successes were able to multiply in such a short period of time.
What did your transformation look like for you, and how did the experience feel?

I jokingly tell everyone wanting to advance their personal development and spirituality to become an entrepreneur because there’s no way to avoid the mind, body & soul connection when you’re the CEO of your own company. For me, having a dedicated morning routine and spiritual practice helped maximize my intuition and business successes.
What practice, tool, or mindset has been the most meaningful and impactful for you along your journey?

Kundalini Yoga and Meditation is the foundation of my personal spiritual practice and I attribute many of my successes in both my personal life and in my business because of this practice. I highly recommend everyone experiences a 40 day meditation practice as well as several Kundalini classes in person to get a better feel for this style of yoga. It’s comprehensive, practical and powerful. I cannot talk higher of this style of yoga and I hope everyone gives it a try at one time or another!

Having gone through the transformation that you have now, what would you say to your past self?

Trust the process, have faith and enjoy each and every day you are alive. Even though you have big dreams and goals there is so much in your present to be grateful for right now.

Where is your life now? What is your experience, emotional state, and perspective like?

Today, I have more clarity than ever before on my mission and vision for my business. I work with entrepreneurs who know that deep down they are limitless, and are done living anything less than their best life. My clients are experts at what they do; they just need to streamline their marketing strategy with a coach who’s been where they are and know the fast-track route to success (that’s where I come in.)

I teach my clients to plug you into their soul’s purpose, brand their unique gifts, master attraction marketing (& then automate it), make sure they’re serving from their highest self and then scale their impact with ease.

I’ve identified my unique skillset and who I’m most equiped to help and it’s my job to help other light workers identify their unique gifts so they can create a larger impact in the world while working less and making more. That is my purpose. What’s yours?
While I am completely and wholeheartedly biased here, I must say I could listen to Lexi share about her experiences and passion all damn day. Her energy is so radiant and infectious! What I love so much about Lexi and her story is this: Lexi has defied “the impossible” and made her life HERS in the exact way she wanted to. If you ever struggle to acknowledge your infiniteness, the power you hold to create your life, or even your belief in yourself that you can try, re-read this interview and get yourself inspired and empowered.

If you’d like to work with Lexi Schaffer personally, you can find the right way to do that for you here.

In Roger’s own words, here is his story of transformation…

“My story… wow, that’s a potential novel (really)!  I am a single dad, and have spent the last 7 years raising 5 awesome kids, on my own. It’s taught me a lot about what maters in life.  I have been a life coach, for 20+ years, and the last 10 as a Master NLP Practitioner. I have a deep passion for helping people realize the Divine Truths about themselves and create a bigger, better, life of magic.  I’ve gone through massive transformation in my own life over the last 10 years, and find that my authenticity and passion can impact others, and empower them to dream and move!   My own growth, required the shedding of nearly everything I was taught and believed growing up, which forced me to recreate myself, from scratch.  I made many mistakes along the way, and each one of them taught me a more beautiful lesson than the one before.   My work as a Life Coach/Master NLP Practitioner over 20 years brought me to a deep passion around helping people break through their limiting beliefs.  I believe that limiting beliefs are the cause of most issues/challenges that people have.  With that said, I discovered something profound this past summer. My personal focus this year, has been around self love. I really wanted to fall in love with myself.  As I went through this process, I came to a realization that SELF LOVE is truly the root of it all. The more I fell in love with myself, the less power my limiting beliefs had over me, and the more I was able to see my weaknesses and challenges.  It’s been a pretty amazing journey!” ~ Roger Webb

Now let’s get into this inspirational interview!

Where were you at before you transformed your life? What was your experience, emotional state, and perspective like?

I am having a hard time remembering that man. I was raised in a pretty controlling religious upbringing, where I was told what and how to believe. In the end, very little of those beliefs stuck with me, as I shed them for a deeper and greater understanding of universal truths, and my own relationship with Divinity.  I was the opposite of what I am today. I was timid, quiet, reserved, and led a very mediocre life, which was just fine for me, back then.   I saw life through a VERY small lens. Everything was black or white. My view of life, the world, and humanity was very one sided. I had no clue what my role was on this Earth, and was ok with that. I was also living in a space in which it wasn’t ok to be authentic. No one talked about what was really going on inside of them. Especially if it was viewed as negative. I wore the same mask that most of those in my life wore.  Everything was ok, and God forbid we ever said otherwise.  That led me to living a life of being numb.  I knew about emotions, but I had no reference point for many of them. I knew sadness very well… but that’s about it.

During that period of your life, what did you wish for or dream of the most for yourself?

Nothing. Growing up, I was a big dreamer. I wanted it all.  However, I was taught by many people in my life that dreams were impractical. So in my mid twenties, I stopped dreaming.  Al I wanted to be was a good husband and a good father. Don’t get me wrong – there is nothing wrong with either of those and they are amazing things to aspire to… but I knew deep in my heart that I could and would be so much more!  Yet, every time I started dreaming, I was told by those in my life that it wasn’t “practical” so I stopped.   I always knew I’d be a hell of a dad, and I am… But when I regained my ability to dream, and my passion and vest for having a bigger, better, greater life, I realized that a BIG part of me being an amazing dad, was to show my kids the truth about life… The truth that ANYTHING is within their reach!  I am dreaming again, and I’m seeing my kids starting to dream too!

When your life began to change, what cause the shift(s) for you?

I had a massive crisis of faith and personal identity. Everything I had been raised believing, crumbled around me. I had two choices, lie under the rubble, or or rise up and build something new! I realized that at that moment, I had an opportunity to completely recreate my life as I wanted it to be! It has been the most difficult & painful experience to date, but it has brought me to an immensely beautiful place in my life!
What did your transformation look like for you, and how did the experience feel?
For me, it looked like shedding who I was, to become who I knew I could become. A true metamorphosis.  There are very few things about me now that are a part of that guy. As I think about it… I know that who I am now, was in there all along… It just took a jackhammer, a blowtorch, and a few cases of C4, to get myself out of that prison.   I started with a few personal development seminars, back in 1997. The walls started crumbling, and I couldn’t stop. I became obsessed with discovering who I really am.   As I mentioned earlier, there was a lot of pain involved. IT wasn’t always fun… but it was ALWAYS worth it, and each time I shed another layer, I felt lighter, and happier!
What practice, tool, or mindset has been the most meaningful and impactful for you along your journey?
For me, it’s been a realization and understanding, that I can’t do it ALL at once. I tried for a long time and felt like a failure often. So, my practice now, consists of the following:  1, Work hard to be conscious of every moment. The words I say, the thoughts I think, and the actions I take. Am I doing them consciously?  2.  Do SOMETHING every day towards bettering myself. Even if it’s tiny… Just one thing every day. If I can go to bed, knowing I did something to improve, I’ve won.   3. Be gentle on myself.   4. Take care of my body.   5. Focus on Love, Peace, and Joy.  Anything that doesn’t fit in these three things, or that takes away from them, doesn’t get to take up space in my life.

Having gone through the transformation that you have now, what would you say to your past self?

Live your life with passion, authenticity, and love. At all costs. Don’t listen to anything or anyone who distracts you from that path.  ALWAYS remember your own Divinity.  There is power there that you will never fully be able to comprehend!   And I LOVE YOU!
Where is your life now? What is your experience, emotional state, and perspective like?
I’m still on the path.  I have amazing days and I have rough days. However, the rough days now, serve as lessons, so I can rise higher. I’m at peace. Those are words I could never say for many years.  I am truly living my mission, to Live life with passion, authenticity, and love, by walking my talk. That last part is the kicker sometimes. When I’m walking the talk, all of life is great… When I’m not, it’s a good barometer for me that I am out of sync with my mission, and I have work to do.  I feel a constant vibration in my life now. A vibration of growth, of understanding, of joy, and of adventure. Life is a fucking roller coaster. It’s my choice on whether or not I am going to enjoy the ride, (even the scary parts that I don’t like) or chicken out!
Roger Webb is an amazing human and his story is just as amazing and inspirational as well. I am so grateful not only that Roger is in my life but that he lives his life from leadership and open heartedness and is so willing to show up for the betterment of everyone.  l am so proud + grateful to be able to feature him and his work here in the Transformation Inspirations series.
