The One Mindset That Will Make You Grow The Most

The One Mindset That Will Make You Grow The Most

In the process of personal development and spiritual growth it can sometimes be easy to still fall into old patterns of allowing limiting beliefs to both be present and be accepted as if they are true. It can sometimes be hard to recognize these instances and patterns of fear, and it can be even more difficult to break those patterns.

It is one thing to take note of everything that holds you back, and it is another to move through those very blocks. This kind of practice can be extremely trying (if that is what you make of it) and it can also be one of the most valuable pieces of your life. It is hard work, sometimes it is the least fun thing you can do, and often it takes quite a bit of emotional energy.

I find that the most powerful and universal wisdom is also the simplest, and this tool for empowering growth is a great example of just that. Many of us are aware of the presence of resistance within ourselves, for the most part. Resistance is most often manifested as a feeling of hesitation, fear, or doubt. This presence could sometimes be interpreted as intuitive ‘protection’, but what many don’t know is that resistance is often a doorway to some of the greatest experiences of growth you can live.

If you choose to allow your resistance to be a doorway, when you acknowledge the presence of resistance choosing to move through it can be the most liberating and empowering experience. In my personal experience, it always is. This is because when you choose to let go of inhibitions and go after the thing that makes you most uncomfortable you are pushed to expand. Your mind opens, your heart stretches, and your spirit will begin to sing.

A prime example of this for me has been reaching out to some of my inspirations. As a young blogger, author and mentor I want to be where my inspirations are. I want to be in their world of light and world shifting love, awareness, and compassion, and to do that I have to connect with those beautiful people in some way. “But oh my, judgement, what if they don’t like what I do, am I worthy of knowing them?” Hello, resistance.

There, I can accept my doubt and fear, or I can see it as an opportunity to expand even more. I don’t know about you, but I like opportunity a whole lot more than being okay with living small minded. So I emailed them, the top 3 women that shifted my life and inspired my work to begin, and now inspire it to continue and deepen and grow richer in flavor. While those 3 emails didn’t get the response my ego would’ve liked, I have since worked with those 3 incredible ladies in some way and I am on my way to that original goal realizing. Can you hear my spirit singing and feel my heart’s fullness, too?

If you can lean into your resistance, meaning feel the fear and do it anyway, you will set yourself free. Taking this kind of action will give you permission to grow in the way you’ve always wished to. If you are courageous enough to face yourself, you will begin to break you own glass ceilings.

Honor Your Process

Honor Your Process

For the entire month of August I am publishing a brand new blog every single day, and you may have noticed that today’s blog went live a little bit later than most of my blogs thus far. This is because I had to honor my own process – and that’s exactly what todays blog is going to be about.

In our society we are not very kind to ourselves, and we tend to not give ourselves enough room to fully experience our lives. Including the less than pretty parts of it. We can live so much more fully, however, if we allow ourselves the space we need to fully honor where we are. That doesn’t mean when we come face to face with pain, emotion, or change, that we cling to it like our lives depend on it. It means that when we come face to face with pain, emotion, or change, that we allow ourselves the space to feel it, allow it to move through us, and we allow ourselves to experience our own process.

There is divine timing for everything in Life. What we often fail to see is that sometimes it is our divine timing to experience some less than magical feelings and experiences. Sometimes, the only thing Life expects from us, is for us to sit with wherever we are + whatever we are feeling. Not dwelling in it, but being with it.

Often times when I take on a new mentoring client, for a single session or a long-term mentorship, their first session ends up needing to be rescheduled for a later date. I find that this is nearly always because a client needs to learn from experience about their own divine timing, and they need to learn how to honor their own process before we begin working together to make the shifts they desire within their lives. Not only does this help them grow gentler with themselves and their experiences, it frees them from the expectation they hold on themselves so that they can be more receptive to the guidance and work that is offered to them in a mentoring session.

As much as a client may be sorry about rescheduling, I am never upset about it. I trust in their divine timing for being able to receive the guidance they need. I trust in their divine timing to be open to that guidance so that they can receive it. I trust in their process, and I want them to honor that just as deeply as they want to honor my time + energy with a mentoring session.

When we can experience the blessing of a magical mess that life is more fully, we can learn and grow with more strength and wisdom to carry us.

I promised to publish a blog everyday in the month of August, and I am. Yesterday, when I would have written this blog, I needed to breathe. I needed to be alone, to sit with where I was for a bit, and to just be there. Learning how to be in that space and allow those feelings to move through you rather than break you is a huge gift in itself.

How will you honor your process today? I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas in the comment section below.

This Is How The World Is Going To Change

This Is How The World Is Going To Change

I am blogging every day this month, and with that, I am going to practice allowing. Today this means I am allowing what wants to be written to be written and shared, which I haven’t done in quite a while and it feels good so far.

This Is How The World Is Going To Change from the Spirit & Soul blog
Like this blog? Pin it!

The world is not going to change by you screaming about what you don’t want, though it may make your throat hurt. The world is not going to change from your rage tweets, either. Though you may get cramps in your hands from the way you grip your phone in despair. I also doubt the world is going to change only from your protests. This goes for all sides.

The world will not change if you are trying to prove yourself right, or someone else wrong. It will not change if you spend your time sharing your opinion through memes, if you spend your time printing tee shirts that read ‘RESIST’, or if you spend your time trying to be okay with what feels wrong or upsetting that is going on in the world.

The world is not going to change if you eat kale and meditate on peace everyday. Maybe the meditating will help, but you’ll need a lot more where that came from, and you are only one person.

I’m sorry, the world is not going to change with that masterfully written think piece from HuffPost being shared a few hundred times, either.

The world will not change with your spirituality or religion, with your hope or your faith, or your lack thereof. We do not need the government to change for our world to change, either.

We need us to change.

If you want to know how the world is going to change, ask yourself how you can change the world. If the whole world feels too big for you to heal, help, or uplift, then start with your world. Heal, help, and uplift yourself. Maybe you’ll inspire others along the way. Heal, help, and uplift your family, your friends, your office. Heal, help, and uplift your city if you can. Do your best.

But please, just do something. I write because I want to inspire and empower people, and because I know that in time that will help to change the world.

Why do you do what you do? Give it meaning, give it purpose. Bring your work, whatever it is to life. Bring it light.

The world will change when we stop kicking and screaming, but instead choose to stand up straight, step off our pedestals or break our own chains, and get our hands in the soil. Do the work. Dig deep. Heal deeply. Help deeply. Uplift with all of the light that you can. And then make more of that light, because you’ll need it tomorrow.

The world will change when we can change ourselves. Who do you want to be in this life? Live that out loud. What do you want to be remembered for? Live that out loud.

The world will change when we stop looking away from the homeless beggars on the street corner while we judge them and what they could have used your money for, and instead pray for them and hold space for them to find what it is that they need on their journey.

The world will change when we tell our fear and concern of the reality to “Hush, now”, because we have work to do, and we can’t be bothered if we want the change we wish to see in the world be realized. The world will change, you see, when we bring our light to the negativity. Not when we try to drown it out completely, but rather by shifting its energy intentionally.

The Law of Attraction says that as much as you dream something into being, there must be action to support its manifestation. You can dream your dream car up, but when it offers itself to you if you say “No” to signing the papers, what good was your dreaming for anyway? We’ve all dreamed up our dreams of the beautiful world we live in and how it could be more beautiful, we better make damn sure we dot our I’s and cross our T’s, shouldn’t we?

The world will change when we show up to our work with hands ready to create and spirits ready to grow. When we can not just be a part of the conversation, or the resistance, or the movement, but when we can be a part of each other. When we can see ourselves in each other, and when we can both be at peace with our differences, and continue to work together. The world will change when we let our hearts and souls guide us, rather than our thoughts and opinions.

If darkness is the greatest canvas for light, then the world will change when we hold gratitude for our darkness, and begin to paint our light.

The Path of Growth is Hard, And it Doesn’t Have To Be

The Path of Growth is Hard, And it Doesn’t Have To Be

This week’s blog is a little bit more personal and reflective, as I foresee some future blogs being. While the part of me that understands social media and content based business (to a somewhat good degree) and how I should write to solve your (the reader’s) problem(s), I also understand that everyone just wants to be seen. In an effort to remain authentic, I feel it is incredibly important to embrace the mess that Life can be for everyone, including myself. For today’s blog mindfulness prompt, I think we should just open our eyes together Whether that means we are seeing each other, or ourselves, or we are embracing our own messes of Life, or we choose to see that divine part of ourselves on a deeper level today: Let’s just be in understanding together.

On this journey of consistent and mindful growth I find that I am almost always in this ebb and flow, or push and pull you could say, between two aspects of myself. There is this deep, divine part of me that knows that everything is beautiful and blessing always, and then there is this humanness and (probably conditioned) ego that is both concerned for the future as well as looking at my reality, which is not where I want it to be. Within that humanness and ego I am working my damn best to ground into that divinity and knowing, and I am certainly growing into that place of divine grace and high vibration.

The path of growth is hard, but it doesnt have to be, from the Spirit & Soul blog

Here is the lesson I am learning as I move through this process… The path of growth is fucking hard, and it doesn’t have to be.

What can be hard is surrendering, but what if we just tried softening? Because that is what truly comes from the process. What can be hard is manifesting, or figuring out how to, but what if we just allowed what we wanted to appear for us? Because as I am learning, that is true manifestation. What can be hard is striving, isn’t that what you’re supposed to do on a path of personal growth and self improvement? Ahh, but what if we allowed ourselves to thrive? Right where we are. Because that is what we are meant to do. And in each passing moment we can expand our definition or experience of thriving as we grow.

There is so much resistance within surrender, manifesting (making it happen, as I often see it or brains often interpret it incorrectly), and striving. This is not the truth of any human on the planet. Resistance will not carry us gracefully into anything we desire that is divine (i.e. healing, growth, etc.). I am learning that this practice of grounding into the deeper and more divine aspect of ourselves is what will carry us deeper into our truth and power (hello, Higher Self!) and wider into bringing goodness to the world.

Where as there is virtually no resistance within softening, allowing, and thriving. It is this open, infinite opportunity of energy that we need to grow with the least resistance, mess, and pain as possible. Because let’s face it, growth can be painful often times too.

So wherever you are at in your journey today, I ask you to see how you can soften, allow, and thrive within your life more, so that your path of growth can grow a little more vibrantly with a little more ease and grace.

You Get The Results You Show Up For

You Get The Results You Show Up For

I wrote a blog about a year ago titled, Your Manifestations Will Not Work Unless You Do, and today’s blog is an evolved and simplified version of that thought process. You may have heard me say before, I find the simplest wisdom to be the most universal, and this is one of those moments. The simplicity and practicality of this truth brings out some deep and very universal wisdom.

I’ve recently had some experiences that have sewn this mantra of sorts into the very fabric of my life. Through working with mentoring clients, and seeing the different divine results each woman co-creates for herself, exploring manifestation and the teachings of Abraham in my own life, and playing and learning in that co-creative space, and simply watching how a day unfolds differently for different people and their different experiences. It has been proven to me time and time again, in the smallest and largest ways, that what you show up for is what you will receive.

You Get The Results You Show Up For blog from The Spirit & Soul Blog

This means for example, if you are having a negative experience within your day and you’d like it change, you have to change yourself. Be it through your energy, perspective, or actions – this is the way we show up for the world, and to the world. This is a foundation for all of our experiences within life. I have navigated my own law of attraction practice to discover that my shortcomings in making manifestation work for me was that I was unconsciously doubtful of what I wanted to bring into my life. That is what I showed up with, and so all I got in return was misalignment.

I have seen this with mentoring clients as well. The women who really truly deeply show up and do their work to co-create the shift they seek always find the results they desired, whereas the women who only kind of do their work (to no fault of their own, it just conveys what they are truly ready for) will only kind of touch on the results they desired. This happens within the spiritual industry on a daily basis within people’s everyday lives. They read the books, they know the principles, they find the ideas of enlightenment and the law of attraction enchanting, and yet the way they show up does not match the results they want to see.

To go even further and take the spiritual or esoteric out of the equation, the quote, “Fail fast.” is a powerful one for a reason. They say, “Fail fast.” as a way to explain that if what you are not doing is not working, you should fail with that method quickly so you can move on to find the method that will bring you to success even quicker. You get the results you show up for applies to this as well. If you are to keep showing up with a method that is not working for you, you would continue to get results that aren’t aligned with what you would want or maybe even expect. It is here you are called to show up differently, in a way that will better realize your desired results.

The way we show up is so vast, the opportunities we have to shift our energy and focus are not far and few between. We can show up with more intentional action that will bring forth positive change, we can make space for a perspective that serves a better outcome, we can shift our attitude from angst to openness, the opportunities go on and on. I invite you to take a look at what you feel is lackluster in your life right now, and see where you can shift yourself so that your results can shift with you.

If you’re ready to show up for your life (and even if you’re not ready) I am offering donation based Intuitive Mentoring through the end of July (31st). I have 10 spaces open for 1 month program clients. If you’d like to sign up for that beautiful opportunity of life shifting magic, click through the image below! (or through this link here)
