5 Simple + Quick Practices to Recenter + Raise Your Vibes

In our daily lives we get knocked out of alignment all the time. Things happen that damper our vibes and dull our positivity + light. However, if we can be aware of our surroundings and what triggers our dis-centeredness we can counteract (or even prevent) being knocked out of our light. Here are my 5 favorite practices to recenter and raise our energy!

1) FOCUS ON YOUR BREATH, INHALE COMPASSION

If you know what is happening, or what may happen, is going to affect you in a less than positive way focus on your breath. Be it in the moment or before the event that you’re no too excited about, focus on your breath. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing for a moment. Think light (literally imagine light around you, in your minds eye, within your aura, etc) and as you breathe inhale compassion and exhale any negativity. Refresh & release.

2) SOAK UP THE SUN

If your day is going sideways, or your week has been bummy go soak up some sunshine! If it is a particularly cloudy day, then make a physical note to yourself. “When you see the sun is out, go soak some up!” Take your ‘meh’ outside and let the rays of the sunlight fill your soul, light you up. Inspire you to be brighter. Maybe take off your shoes and get grounded a little in some earthy goodness while you’re there!

3) DRINK SOME TEA

If your vibes + mindset are ultra low, give yourself some comfort! Whether you take some downtime to enjoy a cup of tea or you savor it during a long haul at the office, use a cup of tea as a calming relaxing element. Have a cup of tea, let it calm you or reinvigorate you. Let it warm you and reinspire you, bring you back to center and raise your vibes. Use a cup of tea at the end of the day to wind down or keep you centered and in your light at that meeting you’ve been anticipating in dread. We all work better when we’re centered, present, open, and in our light anyway.

4) BE QUIET, ASK FOR THE LESSON

We all get those times of stress and discomfort. Those events happen and we know we are somehow being tested or taught something. Sometimes we freak out over it, our focus and centeredness becomes frayed and our brains go scattered. Before you freak out in a time like this, before you let the stress and overwhelm take you over get real quiet. Quiet your mind and bring calm over your body and ask for the lesson.

When you ask for the lesson you open yourself up to seeing the lesson. Once you are open and in search of the meaning, it will come to you. You’ll find it in perfect timing every time, I promise.

5) RANDOMS ACTS OF SELF CARE

For anyone to stay centered and keep their vibes high, they’ve got to nourish themselves so they don’t burn out. This is something so crucial and important, no matter who you are or what you do, or ‘how much time you have’ in your day. Give yourself downtime. Nourish your mind, body, and soul. Rest, recharge, reenergize. Care for yourself and your well being just as much as you care for others and theirs.
