I recently watched Tony Robbins: I am Not Your Guru, a Netflix documentary about Tony’s Date With Destiny Event, and took away so much inspiration and refreshing perspective. I was also reminded of some other philosophies of mine I had forgotten.
Something I speak about frequently here on Spirit & Soul is how everything happens for a reason. Every darkness breeds a light and a lesson. Tony Robbins reiterated this in an even more powerful and piercing way, that even I had really seen or thought about even though it is so obvious.
Your problem makes you. It teaches you who you are, what you are truly made of. What you believe and do not believe in, who you want to be and how you do not want to be. Our problems teach us how we wish to lead our life. Your problem is your gift in the smallest and largest ways. Whether your problem is a person or an experience, no matter how deep, dark, and painful your problem may be – your problem sets you up to eventually greet your destiny.
This is a pretty short, sweet + simple, soulful message and topic. I could go on and on repeating myself with varied sentences but today I will not be doing that. I will leave you with these few notes:
- If you have not seen Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru it is a MUST. Absolutely. It does not matter who you are, how old you are, or where you came from. Watching this film should be at the top of your priority list today.
- Your problem is your gift, acknowledge it and all of its darkness. Then acknowledge all of its lightness, and have gratitude for what it has brought you.
