HOW I KEEP MY VISION BOARD

I AM SO EXCITED TO GO OVER THIS!!! … Too much? Oh well. I’m seriously stoked to cover this topic. My vision board is one of my favorite visualization and manifestation tools. Not only does it help me spiritually stay aligned with my goals, it’s presence and existence in my room just makes me happy.

My vision board is ‘hung’ above my altar space, a place I see daily, and I update it a few times a year. The biggest update as you may have guessed comes around New Years. My vision board is currently pieces of cork board with some old fabric (very sloppily) hot glued around the edges and backside that is pinned into the wall. While you could just pin or tape things to the wall, once you’ve been moving things around after a good while the paint could get pulled up by tape or the visibility of holes in the wall from pins may get a little annoying. So I suggest using cork board or cardboard as a background.

There are many different beliefs on how one should organize and arrange their vision board, if you want to research those and find something meaningful to you, go right ahead. But to start I recommend just going with what comes natural. My vision board organizing tends to vary throughout the year, and probably changes in some way or another every New Years too.

Now for the fun part! Here is how I will be keeping my vision board for (most of) 2016!

The Top Half:
I have split my board into 2 halves this year. The top, and the bottom. The top half I have pinned quotes that inspire me and remind me to be the light. There’s a little bit of everything on this half, but I’ll admit it’s currently a little bare. Over the year I will of course add more to it and the space will fill out nicely. I may even remove some too over time, who knows. Some of my personal favorites on the top are: “Infinite creative energy flows through me.” , “I am a woman who is so strong she can be gentle, so educated she can be humble, so fierce she can be compassionate, so passionate she can be rational. And so disciplined she can be free.” , ” May the Positive Energy Of the Universe Surround You,  Flow through You, Bring to You, Peace to your Mind, Love to your heart, Calm to your Spirit.”

The Bottom Half: Ahhh the bottom half, this is where the serious magic is. This is where I have pinned my big-ass-manifestations for the year! I may add some smaller ones through out the year, but for now these goals and manifestations are my most important focuses. Manifestations included are: The blog’s growth goals, a trip to Europe I have the opportunity to go on (you can donate to the GoFundMe here), a Gentle Reminder book I want to begin the publishing process on by the end of the year, and an image that reminds me of the Twin Flame elements (there’s kind of a deeper story for this one, I might tell it one day, we’ll see), and a little reminder for me to remain open, flexible, and bright.

As I said before, the vision board is a powerful visualization and manifestation aid, and it can be as spiritual or non spiritual as you wish. It may not be for everyone, and I get that and completely understand, however everyone can benefit if they choose to. Read more about the history and meanings of  vision boards here and here.
